2018 Bat Information

As the 2018 Claremont Little League (CLL) Spring registration is underway, the league is aware that many families are hearing for the first time about the 2018 Baseball Bat regulations.  CLL has created a link on the webpage that discusses in detail this national rule change impacting all youth baseball leagues (not just little league) that discontinues ALL previous bats.  Please visit click here to view the CLL web page that has various links on the new bat regulations.

This change will have a financial impact to each family if they choose to purchase an individual new bat for your child, however the league will be providing bats for each team that CLL players can use at games and practices. Old bats cannot be used at all and should not be brought to any CLL practices, games, or tournaments. With that said, CLL is partnering with many sporting good and baseball specific vendors to get additional resources and recommendations on the USA baseball licensed bats, help you find the best price, and to get education to all on these new type of bats.  CLL plans at this time to have Bat Demonstrations with different Bat Vendors on both or one of the two 2018 CLL Spring Assessments at College Parks (Saturdays – January 6th and13th ).  At these “demonstrations” parents and players can talk to vendors, test bats out, and purchase them directly that day.  Many families want to purchase bats for the holidays, listed below are links and the most up to date information on CLL provided vendors, coupons, and discounts.

Protech (Rawlings) – Offering a 20% discount through November 26, 2017.  After November 26, 2017; After this date there may be a lesser than 20% discount available.  They are located off the 15 freeway in Jurupa (Address on Coupon).  Download the coupon by clicking here.

Easton – http://www.easton.com/little-league-bundle which provides a coupon for little league participants, however you must spend a minimum of $500 to get a 30% discount.  Example – Two kids need a $250 bat each, you could save $150.  They also have a bat education video and price lists of all Easton Products.

Dick Sporting Goods - They are excited to offer an exclusive shop day event weekend for families and participants that will provide you with 20% off everything in the store during the weekend of December 9th & 10th, 2017. Click here to download a flyer that has a coupon attached.  Also don’t forget that CLL’s Annual Dicks Day sale will be held on February 3rd and 4th, 2018 where CLL families will get a 20% discount, however the bat inventory may be lower by then.

“The Sporting Good” - Is a vendor offering competitive bat prices and will be one of our bat vendors coming out during assessments.  Please see his bat prices and contact information if you would like to purchase a head of time.  Click here to download a bat price list.

CLL hopes you find this information useful and beneficial.  CLL will continue to provide families with as much information on bat vendors in the area who may have discount programs, as well as knowledgeable sales reps.  If you have any advice to share with fellow CLL families on the newest 2018 USA Baseball licensed bats, please contact Jimmy Ballesteros (Equipment Rep) or Eric Martinez (Ways and Means Rep).
